Send Love to Tornado Victims
Earlier this month, tornados swept through Southern Indiana wiping out the entire town of Henryville. I wanted to help in some small way, so I am selling these Send Love earrings for $20 each and will donate $10 of each sale to the Red Cross for aid to my fellow Hoosiers. The earrings are silver metal hearts with one of my handmade lampwork beads and surgical steel earwires. They will arrive in a special Maudies tin and custom colors are available. http://www.maudies.net/#!shop/vstc2=love-to-tornado-victims

Challenge #2
This past week has been extremely busy and I have not had a chance to get to my beer bottle cap challenge but I plan on playing creative catch up today and get it done! Then on to Challenge #3 but first things first - - - - beer bottle caps. I promise I am not going to fill them with goodies and inbed in resin. Something new, something a bit different, hummmmm what could it be?

Challenge #1 Toilet Paper
My first challenge is to use Toilet Paper and make a piece of jewelry with it.
So this is what I have done so far.
I took several sheets of toilet paper and newspaper and cut them into several different size circles.
I colored them with alcohol inks
and let them dry thoroughly.
I layered the different papers and "sewed" them together.
I finished it up by adding a silver bead in the center.
It needed something else so . . . . . . . . what else but add something unexpected and use a shard of pottery that was painted by a very talented china artist friend of mine and solder the edges. It is not complete yet but it will be soon!
